Artist Simone Bodmer-Turner invited us to develop a new brand language and portfolio oriented e-commerce site to house her evolving collection. Balancing the dual imperatives of artistic practice and studio, the website houses her collected works alongside past exhibitions, archives, studio library and journal—establishing a new immersive portal into the world of SB-T.

Reflecting her evolving artistic practice, the new design language explores how Simone’s tactile and poetic forms could be translated into an equally fine-grained digital experience. Gentle transparencies give way to layered typography and imagery, where book based gestures tell the story of SB-T’s world in paper-like layers. A subtle through-line is carried through the glassine envelopes, housing the letterpress cards sent with every piece.
