Context
Having defined a visual vocabulary through engaged dialogue and comprehensive research, we drew from Modernist line work to establish a framework structure for presenting Simone’s works both as objects in their own right and as vessels for diverse ikebana arrangements.
A hover concept enabled a seamless transition between both experiences. To reflect Simone’s predominant use of black and white glazes, we played with the idea of monochromatic inversion throughout the site, carrying this concept through to the printed element of a fold-out catalogue.

Context
The application of a numbering system was chosen both for its function and form, unambiguously conveying the size and scale of pieces while situating the visual identity of her practice within an archival context. This positioning offered Simone a structure in which to autonomously calibrate the artistic and commercial facets of her work as her focus and requirements evolved alongside the rapid growth of her practice’s global recognition.
